Care Services tailored to promote and maintain a quality and an independent lifestyle

Discussing end-of-life care is a delicate, sensitive matter. Having to consider service options for yourself or for a loved one is, understandably, an emotional experience. Hospice care refers to services for individuals who are facing terminal circumstances. During this time, services that promote comfort, pain management and quality of life in the final stages are provided. Facing a hospice situation can be an overwhelming venture, and varying degrees of care may be needed to ensure as much comfort as possible. Being in a soothing environment, knowing that every need is being met and remaining in the presence of family and loved ones can offer a sense of peace. In the final stages of life, you are not alone. Our Aqua Home Care team is here with guidance, support and care options.

Home Hospice

When patients and their primary care physicians agree that curative treatment is no longer appropriate or desired, a referral to Aqua Home Care may be the next step. Our hospice team develops individualised care plans that promote pain management, control symptoms and ensure dignity and respect in the final days of life. We refer to providers who offer compassion, companionship and comfort in the calm of home. Loved ones are able to remain near as client needs are met. We understand that family members are not always available to be there around the clock, or perhaps are unable to assist with care needs. Having a trusted provider present offering compassionate support during these moments can be helpful. Whether during the day or throughout the nightly hours, someone will always be near to:

  • Offer pain management
  • See to care needs
  • Read a book, magazine, or newspaper aloud
  • Communicate with family members
  • Converse
  • Be a comforting presence
  • Offer companionship
  • And more
Facility Hospice

If a patient resides in a skilled nursing facility and wishes to receive hospice services, Aqua Home Care is here with support. Hospice nurses we refer are available to provide any additional level of care needed in facility settings. Offering companionship, supervision, comfort, and assistance, providers remain by their client’s side. For many, there is peace of mind in knowing that a trusted source of support is always near. With this care option, families and clients can lean on the comforting services brought by compassionate provider, such as:

  • Supervision
  • Companionship
  • Reading aloud
  • Advocating
  • Communicating with family members/taking notes in their absence
  • Being a comforting presence
  • Assisting with care needs
  • Ensuring comfort
  • And more
